The ECSEL proposal StorAIge (embedded storage elements on next MCU generation ready for AI on the edge) has just been approved and will start late spring 2021. The project focuses on hardware/software co-design for trustworthy AI systems at the edge, for systems where the demands cannot be fulfilled by COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) products like GPUs and FPGAs. From TECoSA, the Swedish sub-consortium includes Martin Törngren, Elena Dubrova and Atlas Copco. Other partners of the Swedish sub-consortium include Strikersoft and Prof. Ahmed Hemani from KTH EECS is the overall project coordinator.
