SUMMARY:Research Forum - "Self management with the perspective of the analog brain in the digital world"
DESCRIPTION:Anna Tebelius Bodin is back!  Following her great seminar for us in March (https://www.tecosa.center.kth.se/event/talk-by-anna-tebelius-bodin-on-how-the-brain-absorbs-information/)\, here she brings us more insight into how our brain works – and how to use that knowledge to manage our behaviour and performance in an increasingly digital environment. \nMore details to be added here soon! \nFacilitator: Martin Karlsson (martink9@kth.se)\nhttps://www.tecosa.center.kth.se/tecosa-research-forum/

SUMMARY:3rd Annual "Digitalize in Stockholm" Conference
DESCRIPTION:20-21 October 2021: Painting the digital future – a vision of 2040!\n\nThis  annual conference is a meeting place for global thought leaders and rising stars in academia\, industry\, government\, and civil society – all engaged in transformation through digitalization.\n\n\nThe conference was arranged for the first time in November 2019\, in one of the top ranked innovative regions of the world – Stockholm.  In November 2020\, the event was fully digital\, with over 550 participants from 40 countries.  In 2021\, the event will again be fully digital and free of charge\, hosted by Digital Futures.\n\nThrough digital transformation\, we have the opportunity to impact our future positively. In a perfect world\, how will we live\, work and play in 2040? Let’s paint the picture together and analyze what needs to happen along the way for that future scenario to materialize.  What research\, development\, innovation and collaboration will lead the way? How will smart cities evolve? How will the industry transform? How will healthcare improve? \nLook forward to in-depth discussions on how technology and digital transformation can be relevant for a better 2040\, now and in the future. Get inspired by and discuss promising technology innovation for tackling our societal challenges ahead. \n\nKeynote speeches from global thought leaders in digitalization – from academia\, industry\, government\, and civil society.\nLearn from experts on research and digital technologies and explore demos.\nConnect with researchers and fellow professionals to expand your network.\nTake part in panel discussions with guests from the quadruple helix.\n\nPut the dates in your diary now!\nWeds 20 October 2021 (10 am – 5 pm\, CET)\nand Thurs 21 October 2021 (10 am – 2 pm CET)

SUMMARY:Creating an Innovation Eco-system
DESCRIPTION:Professor Kim Wikström will share his insights into how to create an innovation eco-system for TECoSA.  All partners are encouraged to join\, and all members with an interest are most welcome.  There will be a Teams link circulated to interested parties and also the opportunity to meet in real life at KTH. \nA working group will be set up to follow up on this seminar\, and use the learnings to update TECoSA’s Research Agenda. \n  \nWe will during the introduction learn and discuss the concept of innovation ecosystems and how to lead and enable transformation for systems of systems. We will discuss the connection between innovation ecosystems and system innovation and the challenges we can face in involving several organizations and how to overcome these challenges. How can we capture and visualize the relevant ecosystem and how do we analyze lock-ins that stops the implementation of new innovations. A few case studies are presented to clarify lessons learned and to inspire TECoSA to the concept. \n

SUMMARY:5G Security Standardization and Cloud Security Challenges\, insights from Ericsson
DESCRIPTION:This workshop provides an opportunity for industry to exchange ideas and academics to understand industrial state of practice and challenges\, as well as encouraging more networking and collaboration in the area.  All TECoSA members are welcome to attend\, and a Teams link will be circulated to all who sign up (via the Outlook invitation or by emailing tecosa-admin@kth.se). \nThe following technical topics will be broadly discussed: \n– Cloud computing and related technologies\n– Security in the cloud\n– Confidential computing \nAGENDA \n13.00 ~  Welcome by Elena Dubrova and György Dán (KTH) \n13.05 ~  “5G security standardization in 3GPP”\, with Prajwol Kumar Nakarmi (Ericsson) \nIn this presentation\, we will give a sneak peek into how 3GPP (the defacto standardization organization for all Gs) works in general. Then\, we will describe the most important security and privacy features that were introduced in 5G\, making 5G the most trustworthy mobile network generation ever.  The seminar will be followed by a Q&A and discussion. \n14.05-14.15  ~  leg stretch \n14.15 ~  “Industry Security Challenges in Cloud Deployments”\, with János Kövér (Ericsson) \nA presentation to highlight problems and identify research opportunities. \n– Introduction: Threat model in cloud\, ideal wanted position\n– Solution with TEEs (Trusted Execution Environment) and short-term challenges\n– Potential residual threats e.g. side channel attacks\, trust in HW vendors \n15.55 Wrap up comments by Elena Dubrova and György Dán (KTH)
